New ‘Titan Blue’ Finish Offered on its Range of Performance Exhausts

Yoshimura Japan have added a new Titan Blue finish as an option on its range of performance exhaust systems and cans.

Though it may simply appear to be a coloured titanium sleeve, creating this stunning finish is a complicated process. Titan Blue is produced by electrolytic oxidation, similar to anodizing but with higher durability as the process involves growing a crystalline coating modifying and enhancing the oxide layer. This gives a high hardness and a continuous barrier offering protection against wear, corrosion and heat to maintain its high finish.

The Titan Blue sleeve option is available on a wide range of full systems and performance silencers, both in race and EEC (road legal) types, for a wide range of modern, popular bikes.

Other silencer finish options offered by Yoshimura are titanium, stainless steel and carbon fibre.

The cost of the new finish adds £85 to the price of a titanium silencer, with the Yoshimura Titan Blue range starting from £560.
