New range unveiled, giveaways, race personalities, free helmet servicing and more at the NEC for Arai’s 25-year anniversary in the UK.

Arai’s UK importer, Phoenix, will exhibit at the NEC’s International Motorcycle and Scooter Show (November 27 to December 6) in full force to close a year of celebrations marking 25 years of the Japanese brand being officially available in the UK.

The main Arai stand (2F35, Hall 2) will not only be the first place to marvel at the entire range of 2010 models and designs, but also chance to see a colossal collection of racers’ helmets that have played a part in Arai’s success.

This temporary museum will feature helmets from racers, past and present; from Dunlop to Doohan, Spencer to Schwantz, Haga to Hislop, through to today’s champions, like Crutchlow and Plater.

Leading the exciting 2010 road range is the new Quantum. The return of the trusted name brings a motorcycle helmet that offers ‘the best of both worlds’; equally suitable for hot, sporty blasts down twisty roads as it is for long periods in the saddle when all-season touring.

Arai crafted the new helmet to feature the much-loved “Quantum fit” while incorporating the superior technology of the MotoGP-tested RX-7 GP (launched late 2008). The result is a sports-touring helmet that has been developed to offer new standards in comfort and safety.

The eleven designs and paint options will be displayed with all show visitors able to try on this new helmet and enter a free competition to become the first person at the show to own one.

To complement the Quantum, the range-topping RX-7 GP, Chaser and SZ-F models will all introduce stunning new designs and colours, including the first ever Jonathan Rea replica. There will also be chance to find out more about the Max Vision and Fine Vision range of visor anti-fog products.

Activity in the Arai-sponsored Entertainment Zone will focus on the main stage as competitions, interviews, games and celebrity appearances take place throughout the duration of the show.

Arai will have their ‘Starz’ talk show at 12.00pm each day and Saturday 5th December will see former GP rider turned commentator, Steve Parrish, host a charity auction of Arai memorabilia where all money raised will go to Riders for Health, the charity which provides motorcycle transport to medical staff in Africa.

Items on offer include the stunning one-off, 25-year RX-7 GP worn by Gary Johnson at this year’s TT and a signed Colin Edwards replica RX-7 GP. Go to www.whyarai.co.uk for a list of auction items.

The Arai Race Service Support Team (stand 2G50, Hall 2) will be on hand to inspect and service Arai customers’ helmets free of charge and offer general fitting advice.

Everyone at Phoenix/Arai looks forward to meeting UK bikers, race fans and Arai customers at the 2009 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show.
